Matisse: Painter of the Joy of Living

Henri Matisse, undisputed master of color, has always sought to translate joy and vitality onto his canvases. This unique exhibition at the Mohammed Arkoun Library offers a singular immersion into the artist’s approach, inviting viewers to contemplate how he managed to capture the essence of “the joy of living” through bold forms and dazzling chromatic harmonies. It proposes a visual reflection on the quest for well-being, in resonance with the theme of the Quartier du Livre Festival: "Happiness, how is it going?". A rare opportunity to be carried away by the contagious optimism of his work, visible only on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026. A cultural event to perceive art as a source of wonder and serenity.
