We saw, we loved “Beyond the Streets,” the exhibit that plunges us into street art

In the 1980s, painting on a wall was an act of rebellion punishable by prosecution. Today, this urban culture takes hold of the Grande Halle de la Villette over a monumental surface of 3,600 m². From the first clandestine tags from New York to the magnificent murals of Paris, the journey traces the rise of a movement that shook the codes of contemporary art. Between iconic graffiti, installations and never-before-seen sculptures, the event pays tribute to these creators who transformed asphalt into a universal language.
