Othermothers by Mai-Thu Perret

In 2026, the newly renovated Swiss Cultural Centre will host its first monographic exhibition of Mai-Thu Perret, an artist from Geneva whose work explores intergenerational ties and female myths. ‘Othermothers’ offers a visual journey through luminous sculptures and an immersive sound installation, the result of a collaboration with Tamara Barnett-Herrin. The exhibition questions notions of filiation, goddesshood, and community, imagining new dissident mythologies. Perret, recognized for her powerful and poetic works, presents here a cosmic universe populated by female figures, luminous and primal goddesses. The event also marks the reopening of the Swiss Cultural Centre, which was closed for four years for renovation work. Admission is free from March 26 to July 26, 2026.
