In March 2026, the Centre culturel suisse Paris will host its first monographic exhibition of Mai-Thu Perret, the Geneva-based artist whose work explores intergenerational ties and contemporary myths. The exhibition, ‘Othermothers’, presents an entirely new collection of sculptures and light fixtures, as well as a collaborative sound installation with Tamara Barnett-Herrin. The artist, active since 1976, invites the public to contemplate powerful and luminous figures, evoking notions of lineage and community. This institutional presentation, the result of a close collaboration, explores new dissident mythologies through primitive and contemporary forms. The exhibition is free and will run from March 26 to July 27, 2026, offering a unique opportunity to discover the singular universe of Mai-Thu Perret. It is designed to question family relationships and female leadership roles, through works that are both poetic and engaged.
