Paintings and Other Things

In March 2026, the Anne-Sarah Bénichou gallery will host the third solo exhibition of Mireille Blanc, an artist fascinated by the strange beauty of everyday life. The exhibition, titled “Paintings and Other Things,” presents an entirely new collection of paintings, ceramics, and t-shirts, exploring the tension between the ordinary and the unexpected. Blanc is interested in how familiar, even banal, objects can suddenly take on an enigmatic dimension. She manipulates materials – oil on canvas, ceramics – to give them a nearly organic texture, evoking hazy memories and sensations. This exhibition, which runs from March 21st to May 17th, 2026, is an invitation to rethink our relationship with what we consider to be commonplace.
