Voltaire, Rousseau, Victor Hugo and Marie Curie rest in the crypt of the Panthéon, this neoclassical mausoleum built between 1764 and 1790, the first major Parisian monument offering a panoramic view of the capital before even the Eiffel Tower. Under its imposing dome, Foucault's pendulum demonstrates the rotation of the Earth, while frescoes illustrate the history of France and the life of Sainte Geneviève. The inscription 'To great men, a grateful nation' unites these illustrious figures. With priority access, avoid the queues and plunge into this living necropolis of French genius. Open from October 22, 2025 to March 8, 2026. Ideal visit in 1 to 1.5 hours.
