In 2026, to coincide with the bicentenary of photography, La Galerie Rouge presents an immersion in humanist Paris. This collective exhibition celebrates a major post-war photographic current, often perceived as naive, but which nonetheless brought together iconic figures such as Boubat, Charbonnier and Doisneau. The artworks presented offer an intimate look at the capital – its popular districts, its inhabitants and street scenes captured between 1945 and the 1980s. More than a simple retrospective, the exhibition sheds light on documentary, social and poetic visions, revealing a richness often overlooked in French photography. It explores how these photographers shaped our perception of Paris, testifying to a deep commitment to truth and the beauty of everyday life. The event is free and constitutes a poignant tribute to the art of capturing the soul of a city.
