Petit Palais: Exhibition Pekka Halonen

Pekka Halonen (1865-1933), a key figure of the Finnish Golden Age, merges in Paris influences from Japanese art, Impressionism and Fauvism to paint a vibrant Finland. This is his first retrospective in France at the Petit Palais, bringing together over 130 works from the most prestigious Finnish collections, tracing his career from the 1880s to the 1930s. His canvases capture eternal snows, mystical forests and changing seasons, with a modernity that anticipates abstraction and a rare ecological sensitivity. Unique: perfume diffusers evoking Nordic pines signed by an expert perfumer, for a multisensory immersion.
