Projection: "Tan" by Elika Hedayat - Carré de Baudouin
In 2026, Carré de Baudouin will host an immersive projection of “Tan” by Elika Hedayat, an experimental documentary exploring the links between body and society. The work, created in 2017, probes the contradictions between two generations of Iranians: mutilated war veterans of the Iran-Iraq War and bodybuilders obsessed with physical form. Through the stories of Ismaïl, Alireza, and Hadi, Hedayat examines the quest for immortality of the body, an obsession that spans generations and confronts them with the consequences of war and individual choices. This 71-minute film, enriched with drawings and paintings, is a poignant reflection on memory, sacrifice, and self-perception. The exhibition takes place as part of the exhibition “L’Arrière-pays II,” offering a unique and stimulating cinematic experience.
