Teen Dreams

Since the 1950s, Lee Shulman has been collecting anonymous photographs capturing the essence of adolescence. His project, The Anonymous Project, gives form to this pivotal period, often evoked by Katy Perry with her iconic title. At Quai de la Photo, an inédit selection of these images, from amateurs around the world, is presented until December 2026. The exhibition offers an intimate look at key moments: graduation ceremonies, first loves, athletic passions, musical explorations… It explores the emergence of adolescence as a social category and the construction of interpersonal relationships. The photographs, often dating back to the 1970s, testify to a bygone era, offering a window into the memories and universal emotions of this period of transition. The entire exhibition is free and constitutes an invitation to nostalgia and contemplation.
