Dana Lixenberg — American Images

To mark the opening of 2026, the European Photography Museum offers a first retrospective dedicated to Dana Lixenberg, the Dutch photographer whose work explores the contradictions of America for over thirty years. This exhibition, presented until May 24th, reveals a collection of over thirty years of her works, ranging from portraits of pop figures to images of marginalized communities. Guided tours, led by a speaker from the MEP, focus on a selection of key works, shedding light on Lixenberg’s themes and artistic choices. Considered the most extensive to date dedicated to the artist, the exhibition offers a nuanced reflection on contemporary America.
