Fragile Beauty. Photographs from the Collection of Sir Elton John and David Furnish

For over three decades, Sir Elton John and David Furnish have amassed an exceptional photographic collection. From June to September 2026, the Jeu de Paume will present ‘Fragile Beauty’, an unprecedented immersion into their aesthetic choices. The exhibition will reveal more than 300 images, selected from a fund of over 7000 works, testifying to a passion for photography that transcends mere collecting. From reporting icons to portraits of stars, passing through explorations of fashion and identity, this exhibition offers a window onto the fascinations of two iconic figures. The exhibition explores themes such as desire, celebrity, fashion and self-affirmation, revealing thus the deep connection between strength and vulnerability.
