Belonging to Country Appartenir - Arts d'Australie • Stephane Jacob
In June 2026, the Arts d’Australie • Stéphane Jacob gallery will present a monographic exhibition dedicated to Konstantina, an Aboriginal artist from the Gadigal nation. The work “Birrung Ngura – Appartenir à la Terre” (Belonging to the Land) deeply explores the spiritual and ancestral link between Indigenous communities and their territory. Konstantina revisits ancient pictorial traditions with a contemporary perspective, revealing an intimate and vibrant relationship with the environment. This exhibition highlights the importance of ‘Country’ – the land, the sacred place – in Aboriginal culture. The artwork presented, including “Kati Thanda, Bird Lake,” testifies to this essential connection. The exhibition is free and will open to the public from June 4, 2026, to September 19, 2026. A unique opportunity to appreciate the art and vision of a committed artist.
