The Children's Philharmonic

Since September 2021, the Philharmonie de Paris has given the keys to musical creation back to children aged 4 to 10. In this permanent space, silence is never required and intuition replaces music theory lessons. Young visitors take ownership of the space entirely independently, manipulating giant installations to physically feel the vibrations of sound. Each module stimulates hearing and touch, allowing them to grasp rhythm or melody through simple movement and play. There’s no mediator to dictate how things should be done: curious youngsters operate surprising acoustic machines and strum strings at will. This sensory laboratory offers a concrete adventure where, for the duration of a visit, one becomes a true sound artisan within a unique interactive journey.
