Facing the destruction of heritage, the exhibition questions erasure gestures and forms of resistance. From Tombouctou to Odessa, it maps the damage to historical sites caused by contemporary conflicts, offering a novel perspective on the fragility of world heritage. The exhibition, presented at the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine (City of Architecture and Heritage), brings together graphic documents, contemporary artworks, and digital replicas of lost sites, created notably by Iconem. It aims to be a major reportage, weaving a visual and sensitive narrative through the perspectives of actors, architects, and artists. The exhibition sheds light on how heritage becomes a privileged target in war zones and proposes a reflection on the issues of conservation and reconstruction. It is accessible to all and allows visitors to discover an innovative approach to the preservation of heritage in the face of the challenges of the 21st century. Admission grants access to the entire permanent collection of the site.
