Capture Your Heritage, Retrospective Exhibition - Saint-Jean-Baptiste

One of Québec City’s oldest neighborhoods reveals itself through the perceptive eyes of its residents. From April 25th to May 21st, 2026, the Félix-Leclerc Library will spotlight a photographic collection where historical brickside by side with contemporary vibrancy. These images document the evolution of a unique territory, capturing both the majesty of heritage buildings and the simplicity of a street corner exchange. Far from usual tourist routes, this project highlights local businesses, hidden nooks, and public spaces that shape the identity of this community. Each photograph becomes a piece of collective memory, testifying to a deep attachment to this vibrant living environment. It’s a privileged opportunity to see how history intertwines with the present, carried by the authentic and unfiltered vision of the citizens.
